What are the implications of this? (The thought was to reduce the potential for complaints about activities and noise. Not sure the specific local zoning and actual enforcement is like. See Art of Noise ; search for Requiem for the Pudhouse -- MarkAnderson I added a page with the relevant part of that article here: WhyWeWantASpaceZonedLightIndustrial --SimonDorfman)
I would rather have one rate for everyone. No student/starving rate. The problem is, people might take advantage of that. It's just easier if there's one rate. I don't want to be a capitalistic bastard and exclude people who are strapped for cash (actually, i guess i do want to be a capitalist bastard), but also, if you really want to join, make it a priority to make enough money to pay the dues. -- SimonDorfman - 16 Apr 2009, MikePerry
it might make the treasurer's job a lot easier if we did year-long-memberships exclusively. That's what we do for the Badminton Club. If someone want's to join in the middle of our membership year, we pro-rate it from now thru the end of our membership year. -- SimonDorfman - 16 Apr 2009
